Inspector Findout and the Lost Cherry Pie
by John Donald O'Shea Synopsis This play is well-suit for a Junior High production. When the cherry pie which Mom baked for dinner disappears, she deputized her son, Tom, under his nom de guerre, Inspector Findout, to ferret out the culprit. In the course of that investigation, he examines all the “usual suspects,” which in this case include the family dog, and four very uncooperative sisters. Setting The Family Home. The set is minimal. All furniture is low so actors can be seen anywhere on stage. Doorways are merely “suggested” by cones or the like. Unit set. Running time 20 to 25 minutes Dedication To my daughter, Erin whose original short story, is the basis for this little play. Cast of Characters (1 boy, 5 girls, 1 either.
