Play Scripts Place.com (playscriptsplace.com) is a new on-line publisher. It is owned and operated by John Donald O'Shea, who serves as publisher and editor. (This will explain the number of plays by John Donald O'Shea presently appearing on this site!)
Play Scripts Place.com (playscriptsplace.com) exists to publish "good plays," of all genres. We define a "good play" as a play that we like and think will sell. It's no more complicated than that. We plan to publish plays suitable for use at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels, as well as for use by community and dinner theaters.
If you wish us to consider your play for publication or to contact us, please submit your play to or e-mail us at irishplaywright1@gmail.com
or playscriptsplace@gmail.com
Your submission should be in PDF format. Please look at the plays on this site, and please adopt a similar format.
We would like each submission to contain
a title page,
a synopsis,
a cast of characters - with a character breakdown and running time,
a props list, a set plot,
a costume plot (if special costumes needed) and
the play itself.
Also, please include a playwright's bio and perhaps a photo.
If your play has be performed, let us know. Feel free to send 3 or 4 production photos. We will not use your material until you have returned a signed contract.
At present, we plan to pay the author (who will retain his copyright) 70% of any royalties earned, and 50% of script sales. (We will set the
price of each.)
